I am a writer, a chef, a leader and warrior. Diagnosed at 28 with bipolar disorder, I spent 12 years medicated, on and off in traditional therapy that ultimately DID NOT WORK for ME. I became my own health care advocate - daring to leave conventional medicine and therapy behind and forge my own path - carefully, courageously and with the help of dear friends and a life coach. I’m still on my own journey. I still fight with old stories (who I’ve been told I am) and self sabotage. But I still press on...fighting the good fight. I do not have a college degree but I've worked my ass off to get to where I am today. Currently, I work in the corporate space creatively seeking ways to improve processes, reporting and leading our company into a brand new space (that’s sometimes really uncomfortable) and helping people become their best selves. I am a published writer and chef. I explore other creative outlets to build upon lessons (good and bad) so that I continue to move onward and upward. This space serves part of that purpose. To share my experiences, my creativity, my cooking, and my belief we can be our best selves - by tapping into our own warrior spirit. Today is that day. Join me. Watch me. Let us grow together. xoxo View all posts by mschezj
